yes...but "reasonable doubt" is a powerful equalizer and a very necessary one IMO. There are plenty of greedy, litigious people out there too and defendents need at least some protection from them.
For the record, I think MJ is a lunatic and a freak and possibly even guilty to some degree, but that prosecutor was definately grinding an axe and I think the jury did a hell of a job interpreting the judge's instructions.
