Isn't so odd that through our entire culture, instead of truly wonderful things getting all the attention, merely mediocre ones rule?American capitalism is truly about the mass produced and carefully manufactured drivel that will sell instead of promoting the good stuff. But what is even more bizarre is how some organizations do comb the country side for talent, though that seems to be mainly sport teams, while other organizations could not apparently care less. American food, radio, movies, television, et cetera are all dominated by mediocre garbage. And the good things, shows like The Wire, RL Burnside, decent music, have to struggle to even exist in all this garbage. Though I guess that that makes them stand out even more.
