Often times I am asked the very question you put forth - you know, along the lines of, "come on, the elites of both parties are the same."

Well, at first glance they are and use the same tactics, however, on deeper examination the parties are actually very different.

For example, when it comes to contrasting employee union interests versus that of corporate interests. There is a world of difference here and primarily corporate interests fall into the hands of the Republicans, while employee union interests fall into the hands of Democrats. Now let's be honest here - of just these two creatures, which one is really about people?

Next, we can examine environmental issues, weapon manufacturing issues and so on.

But the way I see it, of the two major parties, the Dem part is the the lesser of two evils and is the true party of the people.
