Finally saw Around the Bend, Walken was great and so was David's music.

The Hunting of a President- David himself recommended this and I had my doubts about it. Turns out David was correct and this was pretty well done. It's a film for Pat Brown to watch for sure. It's not a film about Bill Clinton. It's really about manipulation of the media and the filmmakers did a good job of making their points. There's a lot of info packed into this thing which makes it feel a little rushed but overall it's very good. Also interesting on the dvd is a talk they filmed of Clinton speaking to an audience after a screening. This is one of the bonus features on the disc and well worth checking out.

Control Room - Good documentary about Pat Brown's favorite news outlet Al Jazeera. Pat should check this out. The big item in the film is how the US military intentionally bombed the hotels where foreign journalists had set up (killing, among others, an Al jazeera employee) on the night before Operation Shock and Awe. It's an interesting story and there are many interesting points made throughout the film about how our government manages how the "war" with Iraq is permitted to be portrayed by the media...our media and the foreign media.
