Nice to see so many disc golfers out there! If any of you head up to WI, drop me an IM and I'll see if I can't show you around some of the local courses.

On my recent trip I played a course in Memphis at the Meeman-Shelby state park. http://www.pdga.com/course/courses_by_city.php?id=770 Great course! 36 holes located in the middle of some very old growth forest. Tough holes and nice elevation changes abound. Next time I go I'm bringing my bike and tent. I have heard the 'skeeters are hell in the dead of summer, so I was quite glad to be there in April.

I also played Ford park in Shreveport. Good course, and probably one of the longest I've ever seen - one hole was 735', and seven holes over 400'. http://www.pdga.com/course/courses_by_city.php?id=378

In Memphis, I took in some good live music down on Beale St. On Sunday nights the Memphis Jazz Orchestra plays at Alfreds. That was amazing, and free to boot! 25-30 musicians sitting on three tiers, alternating solos and taking requests. The only way it could be better would be to have some cutie bringing you huge glasses of sweet tea. Oh yeah, that was going on, too.

Finally, a month or so ago I went to see Marc Broussard in concert. Great show! The guy has remarkable vocal range, and his guitarist was as fast as any player I've ever witnessed. The opening act was Will Hoge, and they put on an impressive set as well. If you get a chance to see either band, they'd be well worth the $10-15 at the door.
