So I finished Pete McCarthy's second book titled The Road To McCarthy. Right before finishing it - I decided to look online to see if there were any disccussions of his books or travel stories. Sadly I learned that Pete died last November. So it was with a heavy heart that I read the last of what would be his last book. Fittingly, he finishes the tale on his way to his favorite pub in west Cork for a pint (or two).If you like travel stories - especially with a keen eye for the humor in everyday life - then I highly recommend Pete's two books...the first one is called McCarthy's Bar. Or at the very least - the next time you hoist a pint - drink one for Pete McCarthy.Dan
