The other day I read an editorial where the author was greatly offended at ABC affiliates for not showing the uncut version of Saving Private Ryan and went on about how Janet Jackson's boob was more dangerous to American than this movie. 

For some, I could not disagree more.  Though Saving Private Ryan is a very good film, it is not for everyone, especially young children.  And this is something that has always perplexed me about America - we allow so much violence in our arts and entertainment, but run like hell from sex.  We allow sex to stigmatize and traumatize people, especially adolescents, throughout their lives, but seem to care little for all the violence that is portrayed in our culture.
