Now here is a request that will probably be beyond all possibility - I'd like for those of you on the right who keep complaining about media bias when not reporting about so called harmful scandals of the left to ask yourself - does the US Govt really deserve our instant trust and belief when it comes to information that comes from government sources of information?
Take these so-called slaughter houses in Iraq. I am not a fan of conspiracy theories, but have any of you considered that reports of these findings might be premature? Have you not considered that this is a ploy by the Defense Department to keep the rah-rah behind the war effort going strong, whether it is true or not? Hell, just today one Marine commander has issued a statement stating the insurgent back has been broken in Falluja while another military commander is stating US tactics are not working.
My point is that, sadly, I do not think over the past few years the US Govt has the credibility it should and has become a major producer of misinformation toward the goal of American citizen manipulation (now what is baffling to those on the left, is how blindly those on the right believe all this shit and gleefully gobble it all up simply because their man is in the Whitehouse).
And as for not being able to see the importance of the broader implications of the scandal at the Abu Grahib prison is even more troubling.
