It was a beautiful day and I had a great time being a Kerry/Edwards poll watcher at one of my local polling places. Everyone was really friendly and from all over the place. I am not sure if this was happening in other areas of Florida, but I happened to be at a predominantly black polling place and there were lawyers there from DC, Boston and NY. The NAACP was there from Seattle, NY and DC. Democratic Election people arrived from Tallahassee and NY. There were times when there were more people there protecting the right to vote than voting. Observers arrived from Uganda and the UK, all very inquisitive and curious about how it all was going. There were no problems. Though Florida went red, Broward (the county I live in) was 64/34 Kerry/Bush. And so it goes.
