I support both euthanasia and assisted suicide. Period.  And ...I'm a physician.  I think Jack Kevorkian is a brave man, a lover of humanity and a hero.  I believe in relief of suffering and anguish and not simply the prolongation of life, just for the sake of prolongation of life.  This country is once again...largely retarded.  The only state where euthanasia is legal is Oregon.  But the feds will over-ride their law, so no physician dares to do either.  

I'm either moving to Holland as my time draws near in the face of a painful terminal illness,  or will take my life in my own hands, if I am mentally stable and physically able enough to do so, and have no qualms about it.

P.S. I know that's kind of a reaction to the Terri law, rather than an answer to your question, but it re-kindled an area for me that I feel very deeply about.
