Now I am being completely sincere with this question - what sort of smears have you heard or seen against Bush that equal the fabrications of the Swiftboaters?

I'm serious.  Now, forget about the Hitler ad with Moveon.  That was some contest where people submitted stuff. 

There is only one that I can think of that comes close and that has to do with James Byrd of Texas (but if I recall properly, Bush made some claims about the hate crime legislation in Texas that turned out to be false - something like he initiated it when he didn't).
