This board treats that a little different...but (I think) better. The default view of the message board - the one you get when you come here - shows the last 50 posts....just like the old one. To see older messages, click on the archive and then you can view all messages by month. The cool part is that when someone responds to an older message - that reply will show up on the default view of the message listings and won't be hidden away like on the old board. Let me give an example. Say I post a message in March about some song on AFM. After it has scrolled off the main default listing (remember, there are only 50 threads viewable) - it will become part of the March archive. Someone comes along and is reading through the March archive and they respond to the post I made. Their post will show up on the default view as a 'new' message - although it will still be linked to the original post. Yeah...that doesn't help explaining it much better does it?? With the old board - old topics could get lost and when someone replied to an old topic - that new reply would still be many pages away from the main view. Now that won't happen and old topics can be re-visited much easier. Oh well...it will become clear when it happens.

Anyway, to view messages not in default view listing - you use the archive function.
