The author of that article brought up some interesting points and had me interested until she got to Ann Coulter and started throwing in her own politics. Then she lost me.But she brought up some points that we all need to be aware of. For one, being the liberal that I am, I do not think it is any sort of "racial profiling" when people are responding to the behavior of people. What she described that those men were doing was very suspicious and I think that throws any claim of potential "racial profiling" right out the window. In policing, the standards for things such as reasonable suspician and probable cause include what would a reasonable and prudent person think was going on and here and in this case something suspicious was clearly going on.Next, I think what is really difficult is no one really knows how to deal with air flight. Civil libertarians complain, conservatives complain, liberals complain and so on. Maybe the day will arrive where NO ONE will be able to bring ANY items on board and any item that is used will have to be available from the air lines (cell phone, laptop, so on). That might be something we have to deal with, but then along those lines there are things to consider such as mechanics and employees smuggling things on. But what I really think we all need to do is remove the politics from this issue.
