Yes, I've read it and it is very good and explains a whole lot. Sadly though, Howard Dean, in my opinion, is the most valuable Dem of the year and does not receive the credit he deserves. With him, the Dems learned to reach down and find them again and walk upright because their spine returned. However, I've noticed that Dean's gift is waning and the spines are growing weak again. I also believe Dean made a crucial error that not a lot of people really picked up on and that was when he appeared on Hardball with Chris Matthews. On that appearance Matthews asked him about media consolidation and Dean made comments about how if president he would break things up. I think after he made those comments Big Media became very afraid of Dean and shortly thereafter Big Media painted a huge target on Dean's back. Back to the piece in US News - the history of the ones, twos, threes and fours was very interesting. I'd suggest politcial junkies read it.
