The Blue Nile is a band from Glasgow who really, really take too much time between records. They play lush, melancholic, blues-y pop. Their song "The Downtown Lights" was terribly covered by Annie Lenox. They're pretty darn good. They've worked along the way with Robbie Robertson and Rickie Lee Jones, to name a few. They're on Storyville (Breaking the Rules, etc.), the same record that features Mssr. Baerwald. Actually, they're on the same Baerwald-featuring record by Miss Jones (Traffic from Paradise) on a song called "Tigers." Maybe they're stalking David.
