Well the Feds are at it again. In cae you missed it, this past week, obeisity was reclassified as a disease. Unbelieveable. It's not really but it would be if the citizenry didn't like cozying up to the nanny state so much, damn.

While everyone is feeling good about the news that the welfare roles are great diminished since welfare reform; has anyone noticed that the SSI and Disability roles have been growing in direct proportion and then some.

I have a relative who had couple of kids and multiple live-ins who knows how to work the system. She's stayed on the roles by doing a variety of 'feel good' reach-up/education programs(she has two partial degrees, as she puts it). Here latest scam is obeisity followed by disability since the kids are almost grown. She developed backs problems because she is at least 3 or 4 times her weight of 15 years ago(at least!).

So just so y'll know, this is the new scam: get fat and the Feds will pay your way. Then work under the table too. This oughta be a really successful program since obeisity is already considered a national problem. Plus it's more of an Equal Opportunity Option than the old welfare system because anybody can get fat. Followed by Medi-scam paying your way through a weight loss program(the gym). You may not know you are experiencing a country going down, but like it or not, America is sinking under the weight of our own prosperity induced stupidity.

This being a growth industry in the making, perhaps I should open a chain of Fatso Away Clinics.

PS If you're a big enough drunk(which too is considered a disease(sic)), you can qualify for SSI or Disability benefits! What a dumb ass nation we've become. Enjoy the denial while it lasts.

BTW We have been a socialist country for 50 years minimum. Ya can't make informed decisions if you don't see things as they are.
