With Pete Seeger? Wow. I've been a Pete Seeger aficionado since the good ol' days of the Weavers; I used to listen to them when I was a child (still am). I am amazed Pete is still doing it. He might be in his nineties. I actually met him at a Bluegrass concert about 8 or 10 years ago, and he looked in his late 70s' or early 80's then. I mentioned the Weavers to him, and he just winced painfully, mumbled something and walked off.
If you have not heard it...get Weavers Live at Carnegie Hall concert (the original concert..they returned there periodically for reunion concerts all of which were not as good as the first one). I think it was recorded Christmas eve 1957 or thereabouts. Re-released by Vanguard on CD.
Awake, awake, Darlin' Corey,
What makes you sleep so sound?
The revenue officers are comin',
Gonna tear your still house down..
Gene

Seeger in front on Banjo, other members Fred Hellerman (guitar), Lee Hays (vox), and Ronnie Gilbert (female vox). Amazingly only Lee Hays has died (severe diabetes, about 20 yrs ago). Ronnie has toured with Holly Near and still performs. Don't know about Hellerman, but he is still around.
Long live the Weavers!
Oh yeah, Pete is now 85; born May 1919.
