Looked at the news today and five more soldiers were killed in Iraq (878 total in Iraq alone). Other reports claim that anywhere from 1 in 6 to 1 in 4 returning soldiers will have psychological problems when they return. (One question that has not been asked that is completely baffling to me is, how come the commanding general - Sanchez - was allowed to leave Iraq under "regular rotation" while soldiers are forced to stay their longer? I understand being a General is stressful, but really, which is more stressful? Being an infantry soldier in combat or a frigging administrator?)
The current thought is that the same level of American troops in Iraq now will be in Iraq until at LEAST 2006.
My question is, what is the tipping point number of sacrifice for our supporters to start seriously questioning this war? At one point will these supporters start to wonder about the worthiness of this mess?
One of the newsweeklies pointed out that the Pentagon and Bush Whitehouse is AGAIN refusing to provide cost numbers for the sustaining of this action and of the cost of benefits for our injured soliders.
So, simply, when will enough be enough?
