C’mon Ed, I know you’re smarter than to believe that all of what Moore is saying here is the fault of Bush.  Moore details a laundry list of things wrong with America while implying that these problems are Bush’s fault.  If that isn’t his intent, then I’m at a loss as to why he brings Bush’s name up at all.  Moore implies that it’s Bush’s fault that 1 in 6 Americans lives in poverty.  Do you believe that it’s Bush’s fault?  How many people lived in poverty before he became president?  Hmmm…40,000,000 Americans are functionally illiterate.  Again, what does this have to do with Bush?  He’s whining that the bulk of jobs created are low and minimum wage jobs.  I dunno…does NAFTA have anything to do with the jobs situation we find ourselves in?  What role did Bush play in NAFTA?  How much blame should he own for the recession we were in when he took office?  Moore asks if we’re proud of the 1 billion people who lack clean drinking water on the planet.  Was Moore concerned about this before Bush became president?

I’m wondering why it is that he’s not the democrats nominee for president in light of how much attention he’s getting lately.  It concerns me that astute people such as yourself, Ed, can fall for such simplistic nonsense.

Ed, you stated…” Here's a great 4th of July essay he wrote for the LA Times.”  What about it did you find great?
