Greetings:Please check out the following website:http://www.howardstern.comHOWARD STERN is apparently going to sit out his contract with
VIACOM --- as reported on his official website. Whether or not this
is true I do not know --- as I do not listen to his radio show. I do
however, watch the E! channel show nightly. The reason I got started with HOWARD STERN is because of the
intensity of some of the information with which I am dealing. I
needed something that could balance some of that with some
mindless comedy. Now the FCC has elevated this from an issue of whether his
comedy is appropriate, to an issue of whether he has the right to
say it because of the FIRST AMENDMENT. Unfortunately, most
people do not understand what the Constitution is --- and this is
because the Constitution is no longer taught in schools --- in the
respect of citizen resposibility, that is.If nothing else --- this will be an interesting thing to watch
develop. My personal opinion is that all of this is ridiculous and unnecessary
and a complete waste of money. Everyone these days has a cable
box or TiVo or satellite box near every TV. They should just include
the computer chip that exercises true parental control by bleeping
out the offending sections. I am a 43 year old adult, and I am
effectively being told that I am not mature enough to hear frank
discussion. So what will end up happening is HOWARD will end up selling
millions of satellite radio receivers --- and when the E! channel
contract is up --- will employ some aspect of pay-per-view for
those of us viewers that watch instead of listen. My preference
tward E! is because of time issues and nothing else. The most that
could be expected of me at 6:00am at most is a trip to the rest
room, if need be. Also, go to the HOWARD STERN website SOUNDS page and please
