don't worry, ed, i got ya.
Nick Lowe is indeed quite the talented gentleman. i have many of his recordings and i very much enjoy the craftsmanship and performances. 1990's PARTY OF ONE features a great batch of tunes (shting shtang!) and players such as Cooder, Keltner and others. recommended! also, if you like that bunch, check out the Little Village album, it's those three plus Hiatt and it's full of good stuff.
also, BASHER (his 'best of' comp) is a must have...Time Wounds All Heels, The Rose of England, I Love the Sound of Breaking Glass, 36 Inches High...ahhh, quality. finally, i've found a Jesus whose words i can believe in at full face value, unedited and uncut. :)
and hey, sorry about the paltry response here, Ed, but the folks on this forum wouldn't know good music if it crawled up their bums and started yodeling through amplified didgeridoos. christ, next thing you know they'll be going on about UFO or some such garbage. what's next, lengthy poetry extolling the virtues of those one-hit hacks who had that annoying Boomtown song in the 80's? sheesh.
