Anyone think perhaps that Nick Berg's beheading and these photos of vile behavior at the prison are messages from God? Iraq is a land of holy sites...perhaps where the Garden of Eden once was...God seems to play such a large part in the proceedings...the Muslim God...the Christian God...God tends not to be very subtle when he communicates with mankind in the biblical stories and God knows...funny huh?...beheadings and torture are anything but subtle...is it just man's inhumanity to man or is God trying to tell us something...and if so what?...maybe that we are all heading in the wrong direction...it is disgusting to hear people argue over which photos of dead or tortured should be shown...the ones that help our dimwitted president or the ones that hurt him...

I'm sick of seeing them all but even sicker of hearing the arguments about how they can score political points for one side or the other. So Nick Berg's head is a trophy for the Right? So the dead of 9/11 are a trophy for the Right? Even used in campaign ads. The dead Iraqis or tortured Iraqis are a trophy for the Left? I can't believe that so many people have been reduced to this argument. Maybe that's what God wants.

 Don't you think it's odd...and disgusting...that as each new horror emerges people could actually ignore what happened and just argue about how it benefits their side or hurts their side from a political standpoint? Sorry, but you hear that sort of argument the loudest from the Right. It was Bush after all that used the dead as a trophy in his campaign ads. Put that 9/11 tragedy front and center...and then used a lame excuse that "we did not remember"...we still remember Pearl Harbor and that was a hell of a long time ago...to say we don't remember 9/11 is...well...cheap and disgusting. So if you are keeping score between the two candidates it's Bush 1, Kerry 0 in using the dead for political benefit.

It is the Right that keeps saying the "left wing media" is showing these photos just to hurt Bush. As if the media should ignore them. The Right seems less concerned with what is going on than they are with finding ways to play politics and score points off the dead. Or score points off hiding the dead. Or hiding the tortured. It's a sick position to take and I've never been more disgusted by these people.

If God is sending messages, it seems the Right is looking for ways to use them for political purposes. Perhaps they should have put poor Nick Berg's head on a stick on the White House lawn...so we remember...
