I agree that most of the Krugman article is preaching to the choir what they already know - What hasn't been touched on is the assertion that between WW2 and the 70's that corporate America practiced a restraint that no longer exists. I don't belive that the rich are inherintly evil, as Pat smears the entire left , or that gathering wealth is a bad thing. The problem lies with those who refuse to "play fair" with the system and pay their share to support it. We have an increasing number of British "tax exiles" in this counrty who moved her for our "unfair Tax system" , leaving England because of the 90% rates.
As for the flat tax, as it is proposed by Steve Forbes, Investment dividend would not be taxed - that's a hell of a loophole when you apply it to pay structures. If it could be sructured fairly, I might support it, but as it is proposed now, it's just more smoke and mirrors from the right.
