Hey, with regard to Rap, may I recommend Blackalicious or Jurassic 5. Both easy to get a hold of, both with lyrics that tend to transcend the common. There's a whole world of "Conscious Rap" out there that rarely get's touched by MTV or mainstream radio that tends to eschew the short pants girls and the bling bling.
Oh...and Shelby Lynne........I really like her new record. It's cool!
