Look at the Offspring's first album this was independantly made and distributed. The band was able to sell the disc for less and profit more. The band made roughly $6.00 per disc and sold @8 million independantly before signing a record deal. Dave Mathews did the same thing(only he exploited his fanbase for profit).If an artist can break through they can go it without these large corporations.
