Let's talk about personal mentors.....anyone have any out there that he or she is willing to talk about?
I've been fortunate to have two...
One was an Uncle who always gave as much as he possibly could. Took me to many places I never would have went, spent time with me, treated me like an adult when I was a boy. Taught me many things. The sad thing was he always had a taste for alcohol and died much too early in poor physical and mental condition. Alcohol dementia is a terrible thing to watch. Another sad thing is he had a son that was born too late. He is now a fine man, but he got to see too much of his father in his poorer states while I got to see him in his prime. In other words, I got what he should have received.....
The other is a good, decent man who epitomizes that if you work hard, treat people well and keep a postive outlook, life can be good.....
