Thank you so much, David!  Thank you for sharing your music along with your thoughts!  Hey,  I wanna buy your book after you protect the innocent! As SRB noted, it's rare for an established artist (i.e. John Hiatt) to interact with people who aren't necessarily musicians or industy people.  I, for one, am really glad your musics not pimping lingerie, beverage ads featuring lingerie, or software (geez, that sorta sounds like lingerie, now) and lastly, insurance or automobiles or  'Boner Pills'. 

All that aside,  I wish you commercial sucess even if it means your music is in commercials - I've alway thought 'Boomtown' should be in PSA's.  When I first heard it, that's how I interpreted it - it was a warning, of the loud and clear kind.
