I think you guys just have to start posting more about music and you have to understand we're at a particularly difficult period of time in our history. Both politics and music get people fired up and inspired. Rather than bitch about too much of one or the other why not just post what you want to post about.
With politics it pretty much breaks down to two separate groups here...those that support the Bush administration and those that don't. I guess you could say that there is a third group of folks who really don't give a shit but I think with the people here there aren't too many of that type. The guy whose name and face are on the door to this site happens to be pretty interested in politics and current events it would seem.
So, how and why should we avoid that?
With music obviously if you're here you enjoy Mr. Baerwald's music. Other than that I think we have fans of all sorts of different music around here. As I recall a lot of the music conversations have turned ugly because somebody tells someone that whatever they like sucks. Also it's hard to sustain some music conversations because people don't know or care about some of the music that's discussed. We get a lot of...Snora Jones sucks...John Mayer sucks...this band or that band is great...Mick and Dale (when Dale used to grace us with his presence) would talk prog...and not many others would chime in on that...
How many times can I say how fucking awesome I thought Triage was? Not to mention David makes an album about once a decade so we've got about ten years to digest and discuss each record. You could pretty much say between AFM and the official release...not to mention the coming DVD... this has been about the most productive period for DB fans as far as collecting new material goes. Plus we have this site where the rather thin group of faithful can come and call eachother names...mention a new record they bought...movie they saw...or the sex change operation their best friend is planning...or the last time they hitched a ride on a UFO with a giant lizard at the wheel...or had anal sex without warning or desire to do so with their (former) bandmates...and every once and a while David Baerwald chimes in with a humorous story about kicking around Hollywood, a note about what he's doing musically, a politcal gripe, or just to tell someone it seems as if they may need to up their medication...
Why bitch? These have been high times for Baerwald fans...and we get so many posts about:

Where's the music?
Why so much politics?
Nobody talks music anymore!
