What I meant by left-wing sources in this case was the "ginning up" of this story due to the fact that the Richard Clarke thing didn't hurt Bush. I expect a wave of thes to keep coming. I was not referring to the ORIGINS of the story. This is not a new story, it is an old one and was covered by the Washington Times of all places.

Should it be investigated? Fuck yeah. And people should die. I am not concerned about it hurting Bush, as I stated earlier.

Prediction: This will not hurt Bush, but there will be another story just like it coming right behind it. Since the first tactic of claiming that the Bush admin was not competent didn't work, they are going to ramp up to directly blaming him and trying to say that he already knew and let people die. The only way John Kerry can win this thing is if the Democrats take Bush performance after 9-11 away from him. They can't do that, so they are going to now try and convince people that if it was not for him it wouldn't have happened in the first place. Just watch. That will be the claim within the next month.
