Well Tommy.

I'm from the Kansas, the land of Bob Dole (man...I kinda miss him), Sen. Pat Roberts and the buckle on the Bible Belt.  Half of my family are back woods Kansas Menonite the other half, Beef Ranchin' bible thumpin, Ford F150 drivin' Suthrn' Baptists. Currently, I've got two family members which are in active military service.  Oh...and one that works for NASA but that doesn't count...I'm just very proud of him. Most of which voted for Mr. Bush.  And at last weeks outdoor ham roast and reunion, we all discussed our feelings about politics...and the mothers of the soldiers, my cousins with their Bocoephus ball caps and mouthfulls of Red Man all agree that the current administration is really screwed up.  We may be hayseeds, but we're not blind drooling zombies.  The soldiers...we haven't heard from them and we're not going to jeopardize their safety by trying to get them to talk politics.

So...from the bread basket, the word is...the tide is turning.  You're talkin' to the REST of the COUNTRY...not just the "classic liberal strongholds."

So...feel free to bring some facts to the table.  Get used to the fact that many in here are just as entrenched in their beliefs as you are.  Most of them won't resort to veiled threats of violence, but they're still fun to talk to.  Anyway, get over yourself. The vast majority you speak of doesn't exist.  The grass roots folks feel betrayed as well.
