You know the Bush campaign, like the Bush presidency, has got to be one of the worst run operations on the planet. Everything they do or say seems to point to the fact that they have no clue. Not to mention they have been back on their heels during this whole process. Kerry gets more respect from veterans and the military folks and Bushco freaks out because that's supposed to be their territory. So they launch an attack campaign against a decorated war hero which failed miserably of course. Now Kerry quotes a little scripture at a church service and Bushco has a freakin' heart attack. The Bible belongs to them you know. Just ask naughty little Karl Rove, who began the Bush 2000 campaign with the thought that Bush needs to thump it long and hard to bring religious conservatives back to the table. If the stupid remarks and dumb choices from Bush 2004 continue, my guess is their next set of tv commercials will have Kerry dressed up as Satan and Bush surrounded by a choir of beautiful blonde angels...come on down Karl and blow your horn you sexy little cherub!

Here's your laugh of the day...only it's not a joke...it's for real:

ST. LOUIS (AP) - John Kerry cited a Bible verse Sunday to criticize leaders who have "faith but has no deeds," prompting President Bush's spokesman to accuse Kerry of exploiting Scripture for a political attack.

Kerry never mentioned Bush by name during his speech at New North Side Baptist Church, but aimed his criticism at "our present national leadership." Kerry cited Scripture in his appeal for the worshippers, including James 2:14, "What good is it, my brothers, if a man claims to have faith but has no deeds?"

"The Scriptures say, what does it profit, my brother, if someone says he has faith but does not have works?" Kerry said. "When we look at what is happening in America today, where are the works of compassion?"

Bush campaign spokesman Steve Schmidt said Kerry's comment "was beyond the bounds of acceptable discourse and a sad exploitation of Scripture for a political attack."
