I saw Sheryl and Jeff Trott one time do a short set at a benefit concert. She was on accoustic guitar and Jeff was on electric. Very good show indeed.  I think Sheryl is very talented as far as her singing abality but she does seem to need someone to write with her.  I would be curious to see if she could come up with anything all on her lonesome.  I know she got old Kid Rock to write with her on one of the tunes off her new album.  Maybe he would have stuck around for awhile and helped meld her into the next rap rock superstar... I guess Pam Anderson's massive implants quickly gathered his attention....
