So far from reality?

When BU$H had taken over the White House --- there was a federal budget SURPLUS of $236 billion dollars. Just four years later, there currently is a federal budget DEFICIT of $521 billion dollars.

This means that in the last four years $757 billion dollars has disappeared down some black hole somewhere.

To me, that's a pretty stiff dose of reality, I would say.

Also, during that same four years, 2.2 million public sector jobs were lost, 2.9 private sector jobs were lost, and 2.8 million manufacturing jobs were lost. This represents a total of 7.9 million jobs. If you notice, on the news, they discuss ONLY the loss of manufacturing jobs --- which misrepresents the total job loss by more than 5 milllion jobs.

In addition, almost every time that BU$H represents anything involving statistics, he is using those numbers to lie and misrepresent to the people --- the true nature of the situation at hand.

In the latest issue of WIRED magazine, they had an article about the situation involving telephone tech. support centers for almost every major tech. company being moved to India, where they can pay a tech. support rep $12,000/US per year, instead of the much higher salary the same position would command if it were here in the USA. The USA salaries were in the $35,000 to $45,000 range. That's a net salary loss of approximately 75%.

Then there is the recent news where BU$H is considering having low paying fast-food jobs recatagorized as manufacturing jobs. The net effect of this would be a net gain instead of a net loss, and the cost of living of all involved would fall by 75% or more.

That's a pretty stiff dose of reality, if you ask me.

When all of the above is factored into the reality that this current "war on terrorism" was begun to push off the inevitable collapse of the entire global economy --- I have to conclude that we are in for one bad-ass wake-up call.

So, in other words, it is okay with you that $757 BILLION DOLLARS just disappeared?
