Marciel Basanta Lopez made a boat out of a modified 1950's Buick, put himself and 11 friends and neighbors in it and set sail for the land of the free.

The coast guard stopped him and they sent them all back to Cuba.

Again, he made a BOAT out of a BUICK!  A while back he made a BOAT out of a Chevy Pickup. 

And they SENT HIM BACK!

We can't get rid of the idiots that make all the Igia Hair Removal stuff on TV and we sent back a guy that makes BOATS out of CARS!

*PRH smacks his forehead in frustration*

The guy takes scrap cars and makes working sea vessels out of them.  What is more American than that?  I think we should pay to have him brought back to the united states, get him an Engineering Degree and a lifetime subscription to Popular Mechanics. 

Mr. Lopez...if you ever make it to the USA and come to Lawrence, I'm buying you TWO beers.
