I actually got to witness a brief interaction between Fripp and a small crowd at one of the "Warm Up" shows in Nashville. His sister was there and apparently had been trying to coax the old boy out of his shell. After the show, Robert came back to the stage alone and addressed the crowd.

"My sister tells me that if I were to talk to you people that you will buy stuff, so, I am talking to you, please feel free to buy stuff."

This is paraphrased, it's recorded somewhere.....   lol
