i agree that lots of the songs are nondescript, although i'm such a fan of her voice that i can ignore that for quite awhile... among bar bands up here, providing a warm groove for a barfull of dancing folky hippies on cold winter nights, they are top of the heap. solid straightforward songs with melissa singing about love...

i don't have the official live cd, although i have a few live shows... if i acquire the official one, i'll give a report. even without the dancing hippies, i really like to listen to the tunes. since i'm a big fan of dylan/baerwald/shakespeare lyrics, i'm amused by how much i like her basic love songs. my favorite has the chorus what love, oooooh, such love (4x)

did the backing band change for the short HOMEGROWN set? or did they just go acoustic? they have a little acoustic lineup, but i wasn't sure if those folks were "touring" with them.
