I agree with you Gene. I really like a Kerry-Edwards ticket. If Edwards can ride shotgun and help take the South then I think that would be great. If those guys end up being the ticket, I'll admit openly here, it will be the first time in my life I vote for either the Democrat or Republican party in the presidential election.
They are both decent, honest men that really have the potential for creating some change from that office and I think we could be proud to have them as the leaders of our country. We've been mired so long with people who had no business holding that office...Reagan-Bush, Bush-Quayle, Clinton, and now Bush-Cheney (the true bottom of the barrel)...I really think that's a pretty aweful run. I would have voted for Nixon over any one of those guys...even after Watergate.
It's no wonder so many people have lost respect for what that office stands for. I think it would be amazing if we elect those guys but it'll be a tough and pretty dirty campaign. You basically can count on Rove being about as disgusting as he's ever been. He's got a giant stockpile of cash he's sitting on and I can tell you right now he's gonna smear and throw mud, and lie like you've never seen anyone do it before.
By the time he's done he'll have every conservative and southern voter convinced if you vote for the Democrats, they'll come to your house, kick your door down, steal your money, pervert your kids, throw you out in the street, where you'll need to dodge terrorist bullets and bombs to survive, so a gay married couple can move into your home with their adopted children and open an abortion clinic on every corner. And that my friend will be only the beginning. Those seem to be just some of the goals he'll set.
Kinda funny to me the big media talk is "Electability" with these Democrats. I mean sure, that's always concerned me with Kerry, but he and Edwards are the real deal. Will Americans get behind that...can we look past all the stupid bullshit that will get slung, the dirty tricks, and jackass party politics and see that right before our eyes are finally a couple of guys worth voting for...that's really the big question...and I'm actually starting to believe we can.
King George the 2nd seems to be imploding a bit and I think once Rove acquires his target and they unleash him and his filth...well the American public ain't gonna like it and ain't gonna buy it. Even a prisoner can dream right?
