A total idiot? Now Pat, if you don't like him because of his party affiliation - well that's just being partisan. But to call him an idiot for passing legislation - that's just being misinformed. Read the lyrics to the school house rock song "I'm Just a Bill" for a short refresher in how legislation gets passed (hint: one man doesn't pass legislation). Granted, our beloved Sen Byrd has surely brought home the bacon to our great state (damn near everything built in the past three decades has him name on it)...I wouldn't characterize these actions as being idiotic. No wait...he did cross party lines and vote to confirm Ashcroft...now THAT was idiotic.
Really, though, Pat let me know what legislation you speak of. I don't follow Byrd's voting record as close as maybe I should.
