I just noticed up there in the left hand corner that we are damned near 10,000 posts on this board (only bout 30 away).  Hardly seems like a dying board to me.  Admittedly, it's taken on a poisonous and invective tone as of late, so why don't we all try to make a 2004 resolution to let all that crap go before the new year arrives. You know,  do over.

And if everyone here puts up just one post, we'll  make that 10,000 goal before the year's out too.

This is one of only two places I frequent on the 'net, and I deeply appreciate the uniqueness and diversity of the intelligent group that gathers here at DBis.  I'd like to thank each and every one of you for engaging me over the past couple of years that I've been hanging around here, even if we don't always, or even usually agree.  I still find it stimulating and gratifying.

I wish you all and yours a very happy holiday season, and I'll still be here next year.  I hope you all will be too.
