no alaska bands in Rolling Stone, but some bands do wee tours in the lower 48... no idea what powers determined the schedule, but a nice little band from girdwood is playing near you in late january... http://www.homegrownak.com

Saturday January 24th - Downieville Theater - Downieville CA 8pm
Sunday January 25th - Kirby's - Nevada City CA 9pm
Tuesday January 27th - Silver Peak Brewery - Reno NV 9pm

twice in nevada city and once in downieville.
they also have a few gigs in oregon and seattle.

they just played here last friday and saturday, and even though we have a bit less to choose from musically up here... man, she has a great voice and writes dance-inducing tunes...
