I think one of the first polls on this site had to do with which DB disc people would like to see get the whole remastered/bonus track treatment. I think Triage won out. Listening to Triage earlier today - I don't think it really needs any more work. It sounds great. Now Boomtown on the other hand really shows it age as far as what CDs sound like now versus then. Without getting into the warmth debate again - I wonder if Boomtown could benefit from being remastered or is that the best it could sound on CD?
In a word DanO I would say no that this could not be re-mastered to sound any better. I think the vocals on this CD are by far the best of any of David's recordings. I have listenened to this CD (Burned copy I keep the master at the house) at least once to twice a week (not the whole CD I skip around a little) and I think it still sounds great. Some of the instrumentation is dated but it was after all an 80's record which is part of the reason I like it most
