Reg:I got to thinking after your review of DONNIE DARKO --- and I
would like to offer two other creepy-ass flicks in that similar
vein.Have you ever heard of or seen a film called BUFFALO '66?The ONLY REASON why I watched that piece of caca was because
it was filmed and takes place in my city of Buffalo, NY.This one left me shaking my head for days . . . This is about a slimeball who kidnaps Christina Ricci and forces
her to pretend to be his girlfriend during a visit home with his
parents. Unable to admit that he has amounted to nothing ---
this guy tells his parents that he has been working as an
intelligence agent. Then, the guy's FATHER starts hitting on poor
Christina . . . ugh!!Just as sometimes a person HAS TO stare at that train wreck, this
film was compelling in a schizophrenic kind of way.The ONLY movie channel that I have ever seen broadcasting this
film was IFC --- Independent Film Channel. And if this wasn't enough --- there is a second flick perhaps
even creepier than DONNIE DARKO and BUFFALO '66.This one is called CHUCK AND BUCK . . . CHUCK AND BUCK defies all description, and is perhaps the all-
time most sinister and warped flick I have ever seen!!I had seen BUFFALO '66 before CHUCK AND BUCK --- and after
the both of them --- I shake my head at a world that has
certainly gone mad. Why on earth anyone would want to put
garbage like this on film, I'll never know.If I remember correctly, CHUCK AND BUCK was on the Sundance
Channel.Well, these are MY TWO ENTRIES into this wild and woolly contest
to annoint the creepiest flicks of all-time here at the DBIS . . . KDB = Buffalo, NY USA
