Reg seems to have the news covered and I've got nothing to add on that front so I'll extend the interlude. Apparently Peter Gabriel took great pains to arrange tracks on his albums in just the right order to convey a certain message. It seems to hold true for Triage as well, since the sequencing plays a crucial role in shaping its emotional and narrative arc. So when I introduced my friend to DB (and Will) via select tracks from A Fine Mess a few weeks ago, I crafted my preferred and particular order:
Water's edge
Wondering
Mary's Well
If I ever thought
Last Faithful lover
Crash
Our dear friend stranger
Wild Wild West
Black Mamba Kiss
Paddy
I'll note that I kept intact the sequence of A Friend/Stranger, WWW, and Black Mamba. I don't know if David emphasized track order on AFM but he knocked it out of the park with that trio as those songs flow so perfectly well into each other. And there's something about Paddy that always makes for the quintessential denouement. I figured I'd share to see if any of you rearranged AFM tracks in a preferred way for your listening pleasure. Am I alone in this?
