Well, because Trump now runs Justice and the FBI, his flunkies are in charge, they do exactly what he tells them, I would expect that to be true. In fact, the process of cataloging and turning in spreadsheets that detail where Trump is mentioned in the files, and that they spent months doing this, seems to indicate the reason they were delaying any release of the files was because they wanted to scrub them first.
I think their intent was to scrub all of the Trump and Trump pal material and then release all the stuff they hoped would be in there that related to any Democrat and or Democrat pals. I think the reason the whole thing came to a dead stop and Trump said "That's it, we no longer talk about this!" is because what is there incriminates him and friends of his and does not have any juicy info on Democrats or their friends.
I think when Trump says Bondi should release "whatever she thinks is relevant" what he means is, whatever you can find in there that damages the other side.
Bill Clinton was said not to be having sex with underage girls, from things I have read, he was having sex with Maxwell. Not great, but not Trump at the orgy telling a 13-year-old girl to wear a glove while she gave him a hand job.
Because of how we have seen time and time again Trump getting away with things or delaying them to escape punishment, with him in charge of Justice and Patel running the FBI, I don't expect to see much here.
All I am hoping for really, and hope is hope, is that his supporters don't let him off the hook. That they keep pressuring him to give them something and continue to realize it is him that is hiding things. o
I heard more than one person covering this story say, this looks like one of those kinds of stories that will keep producing more and more evidence as things slowly unravel. I don't expect Trump to go to jail, or even to see elected Republicans grow a spine and go after him on this stuff.
On Trump's part, he does seem frightened. He is throwing out the kind of "red meat" distractions his followers usually love, demanding the Washington football team change their name back immediately and demanding the arrest of Barack Obama. Nonsense stuff but the kind of things that work his base into a frenzy. It seems not to be working, they continue to want the Epstein info.
He can go two ways with that, I think, he can continue to try to distract by doing odd or horrible things, or he can fabricate something against someone big and throw it out there to try to get Right wing media types to talk about that instead. He wants to change the subject in the worst way. I guess all there is to wonder is will his supporters fall for some new fabrication and let him off the hook again?
