Icon A guitar player and some music notes

Well, I am going to do this music post before I reply to some of the other posts here because we have been discussing some dark places. Not sure people would want to invite us to their BBQ for light chit chat. Anyway, I will get to that.

My youtube feed tends to be filled with weird and dark stuff and then music things and guitar players because this is what I tend to look at and so this is what the big AI brain throws at me. Here is a guitar player I had never seen that builds his own guitars as well and is shown here with a cool Tele style fiddle that is well broken in.

When Dan and I visited David we did talk about guitar players. David's preference seemed to be guys that do something interesting and unique. This guy may qualify but maybe David has already heard of him.

Rock is dead they say, long live rock

So, some of the big music news and a very hot ticket appears to be the return of Oasis. Some are trumpeting this as the "return of rock" and what they play is definitely big arena rock. I do not have tickets to any of the shows but I have heard that some people are so hyped about this they are seeing multiple shows in Europe and the United States. The shows do appear to be pretty much sold out. I like Oasis but never were particularly into them. It is nice to see rock shows being a big news story because I can't recall anybody really hyping them like this in a while, things have seem more dominated by someone like Taylor Swift.

Also, I saw a lot of stuff online discussing Neil Young and his recent stops in Europe. Neil is still giving it all he has. I have not seen a Neil Young show in many years but the best show I saw him do was a solo show where he travelled around with a bunch of guitars and a massive pipe organ. It was kind of like watching a mad scientist at work in his lab. Pretty amazing.

Last, I know I brought up that AI band The Velvet Sundown. Seems whomever created that via AI has admitted that there is no band, everything was invented by AI, the music, images, story of the band, everything. They claim the reason they did it was to show how fragile a thing intellectual property can be. Or maybe just to give Don Henley nightmares.
