So, the numbers in every way don't add up.

The numbers say, there could be up to but probably less than 600,000 people that have entered the country with some sort of crime in their background.

These crimes, in fact most of them, are not violent crimes. I have not seen a number that estimates the number of people that committed and were charged with a violent crime, but it is some fraction, probably a small one, of that 600,000.

OK, next number I would consider is how many people the Trump administration has set for their goal, their realistic goal, to deport or arrest this year. That number is 1 million.

Consider next that Trump once said that he wanted to deport 20 million people during this presidency. He then reduced that to 10 million, but someone has explained to him that these numbers are impossible to hit. They literally would have to grab any person they saw that was not white, arrest and deport them without worrying about where they are from, and just ship them out of the country as fast as they could before anybody questions what they are doing.

Does that sound familiar?

So, now their goal is 1 million deported this year. Do the math on that and you come up with Stephen Miller's number of arresting 3000 people a day.

3000 x 365 = 1,095,000

Now, keep in mind they are already way, way behind on that number because we are 6 months into the year, now at the start of July, and they are nowhere near that and had not been arresting 3000 people a day. So, they won't hit their 1 million goal for this year. Not even close.

Trump's claim has always been that there are 20 million, then 10 million, violent immigrant criminals in this country. A massive lie. He claims the migrants they are going after and have been arresting are violent criminals. Another massive lie.

In reality, just 6% of the people ICE has grabbed under Trump have criminal records. That means, oh, 94% of them are not criminals. They were people following the rules and trying to get to their job or show up for their normal immigration court dates. So, they have not even tried to get the criminals, they are just trying to go to the places where they can find the most people to grab...it does not matter to Stephen Miller if they are criminals, he wants images of people of color, any color but white, being grabbed off the street.

Now, if they go nuts and manage to arrest and then deport with no questions 3000 people a day, for 4 years, the maximum amount of people they would remove from the country at the end of Trump's term would probably be less than 3.5 million because they won't get their million this year, they are at best hoping to deport 400,000 or so this year and they probably won't hit that.

To get this done, they need to have no due process and they need the courts to pretend they are not seeing any of this. Having due process and allowing people rights would slow this entire thing down to a trickle. Hence, why they want to eliminate rights and eliminate the courts. They want and need just a blanket OK, to arrest whomever they want, including people here legally and GASP, even US citizens. They can't have lawyers and courts actually asking IF these people did anything wrong or if they should be deported...to Sudan or El Salvador or dropped into Alligator Alcatraz.

So, the biggest concern for Trump and Miller is that Obama deported more people than any other president including Trump in his first term, by miles. It is mandatory to Trump that he beat Obama's record. This is the number one goal for Trump and Miller. He did not come close the first time he was president, and he is way behind this time. So, there is some panic from Miller and Trump that they are again going to fall short of Obama's numbers.

Last, Obama hit his numbers by turning away people at the border, Trump is claiming he wants to "round up criminals in the United States" which is not immigration really, what that is, is a manhunt. A really expensive manhunt.

So, once again, Trump has promised something he can't do.

To me, the billions David has listed there make sense in just one case...that this won't just be for immigrants, it will be in place to use against anybody Trump and Miller feel is an enemy. So, it will start being used for migrants but then it will be used for anybody they want to lock up and deport.
