This really becomes an acid test for the American electorate. Wiesel's quote of indifference being the opposite of love never seems more relevant. I don't want to descend into hyperbole but it feels we are at an inflection point for whether we show indifference to the erosion of legal and ethical norms coupled with a policy of hate and xenophobia that will truly define us a a nation.
