We are truly lost. Yes, we have an administration in power that wants the powers of a Hitler, or Putin, or name your dictator. They want the ability to accuse, then punish. The accused has no right to defend themselves, they have no voice. They are just removed or disappeared to some prison in another country.
You don't remove due process, the right to defend yourself, from just one group or just one person...once removed it is gone for everyone. You either have a justice system, or you don't. MAGA very much prefers we don't have a justice system. No due process, no right for the accused to mount a defense.
A fool will believe that this won't happen to them, well, that is not how it works. Once the precedent is set, no due process, it is now set for all and if you accept this...well...when they come for you don't be surprised.
