I know that the gut reaction is to get upset at the people that voted for Trump, that was kind of mindboggling, but the truth is, I think most of them have no clue what they voted for. 

I've talked to many Trump voters and none of them seem to really know why they voted for the idiot. I mean, I told the tariff story here, of the guy I know that likes Trump but did not know what a tariff was. These people, ma y of them, are epically clueless. They just thought Trump was going to lower prices and get rid of inflation on day one. They believed that. They were not looking to join a new Nazi party, watch him throw Europe to the wolves, I don't think they thought Elon Musk would be running everything and taking away all their services, destroying their healthcare, tanking he economy, sending a million people into the unemployment lines, wiping out our educational system, and having a field day searching through people's personal data. Not to mention firing the people that oversee our nuclear stockpiles, that are in charge of protecting us from pandemics, all kinds of people at the FAA, shutting down programs that could kill tens of millions of people...they don't have any understanding of any of that. 

They look at you like you just landed in your alien spaceship when you talk to them about these things. 

And if you tell them, like Elon Musk did when people started to complain, "This is what you voted for." they will insist they did not. 

I had a rather insane conversation with a pair of Trump voters the other day. It began when they brought up to me how stupid and awful they thought Trump and Vance had been to Zelensky. I said, "You weren't happy with that? You voted for it."

They said "I never thought he would do that!"

"Really? He basically has never liked Zelensky and has always been outrageously beholden to Putin. Not a secret guys." I said.

"That was just wrong." was the response. 

"Well, you should have voted for Kamala, at least then you'd have a clear conscience." 

"What? No way could I vote for her. She was terrible and lied to us about Biden's condition!" was the claim.

"Lied about Biden's condition? Well, even if you really believe that, Trump lied about everything, and he has done nothing but prove that to you in his first 40 days. You don't have a problem with that?"

"At the time Kamala seemed like the bigger liar."

"I thought you guys voted with your wallet. Trump has been nothing but an utter catastrophe for the economy and he is about to skyrocket prices on everything. Plus are you watching what he has done to the markets at all? This guy is a disaster for everybody in every way."

"DOGE is good though, he is cutting all that spending." one guy says. 

"DOGE is driving the spike in unemployment, destroying businesses, including farms, that made millions selling to the government, increasing wait times to do simple things from 30 minutes to 300 days, from there being someone there to take your call, to being there is nobody there at all but a message telling you the current wait time to speak to someone is 8 to 12 hours...if they ever pick-up. DOGE is a disaster for the public. You aren't going to like what they deliver."

The two guys looked dejected because in front of them was a letter from a manufacturer they dealt with that said "Due to President Trump's tariffs we are warning our distributors there will be sharp and sudden price increases and these are likely to continue as the tariffs will cause additional economic strife in a variety of ways not just due to the rising cost of needed supplies. Please expect these increases to impact all aspects of our industry."

In simple terms, "This guy in the White House just fucked us all and is sticking us with the tab."

It is about to get real, really real, and businesses will need to brace for impact and likely many start to go under. Businesses run by people that voted for this idiot. It's a domino effect because so many businesses rely on other businesses and this is going to be like a California wildfire, and Donald lit the match.

These voters do not have a clue yet what they did...but they are about to find out.
