DeWester:As one who is on an extremely high dosage of MORHINE, I
have a few thoughts about painkillers and Rush Limbaugh.I am on a dosage of MORPHINE that is 800 MG per day, which
was the result of a hit and run car accident in July 1993.All of the doctors I went to BEFORE I got into a certified PAIN
MANAGEMENT CLINIC told me I was nothing more than an
addict looking for a free ride. However, that was just their
excuse to not have the responsibility of my care. When I got into a monitored PAIN MANAGEMENT CLINIC, I
became able to deal with a problem that has driven others to
suicide. My doctor now is a man who recognizes the severity of my
situation, and has provided me with a reasonable level of
comfort. I have a good reason to be on this much MORPHINE,
but I doubt that Rush had or has problems that were anything
close to the HELL I go through on a daily basis. When people go to DR. FEELGOOD without a legitimate reason
to be on that medicine, they end up in situations like Rush. However, it is incredibly disingenious of him to secret his own
addiction, while publicly supporting the escalation of the
DRUG WAR, as Rush has stated many times in the past. The American Medical Association does not help matters when
they threaten to expel doctors who feel that a patient has a
right to a particular medication.Even while I find it necessary to use a wheelchair --- that did
not stop certain individuals from accusing me of addiction ---
a charge that is as outrageous as it was a complete
misdiagnosis. For the record, I completely love MORPHINE. It has made a
HELLISH experience much more bearable.KDB = Buffalo, NY USA
